António Silva bids farewell to Benfica, thanks Roger Schmidt after Bournemouth move

Hours after Bournemouth confirmed his signing, António Silva bid farewell to Benfica in an emotional message to supporters. The player said in a post that their story was not over.
The move to the Premier League could be worth up to 30 million euros to the SAD led by Rui Costa, comprising 25 million guaranteed and a further five in add-ons.
He reserved special thanks for Roger Schmidt, crediting the coach for believing in him and giving him the chance to realise a lifelong dream by integrating him into the first team.
After 11 years at the club and 183 senior appearances, the Portugal international signed off with heartfelt gratitude to the fans.
He reflected on a journey that began in the academy and on the fulfilment of becoming national champions in 2022/23, saying Benfica means everything to him.
At 22, he said it was time to begin a new chapter, adding that Benfica will always travel with him in his heart.
