Finally, the long, drawn-out Antony saga has come to a close with Real Betis getting their man.

Sky Sports have confirmed that the Brazilian will be leaving Old Trafford on a permanent basis. Both clubs have finally agreed on a fee.

Now it is up to the Spanish side and the winger to agree on personal terms. They have given the ex-Ajax star permission to travel to Spain.

“Manchester United have accepted a bid from Real Betis for the permanent transfer of Antony,” Sky Sports posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Ben Jacobs has also confirmed the same.

“Breaking: Manchester United have accepted a bid from Real Betis to sign Antony. Brazilian has been given permission to travel,” he posted on X.

Details regarding the fee are yet to emerge. United have always been insisting on €40 million.

The La Liga side have been trying to lowball the Red Devils for months now, and their latest offer of €25 million and 50 per cent of the profit of a future sale had been rejected.

Departures galore

Hopefully, INEOS did not budge and they got what they were looking for.

The Brazil international becomes the second permanent departure in as many days, following in Alejandro Garnacho’s footsteps who left to join Chelsea.

Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on loan while Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia still remain at Carrington.

INEOS are expected to seal Rasmus Hojlund’s exit next with Napoli reportedly in pole position.
