Archie Brown is facing a swift exit from Fenerbahce after being placed on the transfer list only months after his summer move. Jose Mourinho has departed and successor Domenico Tedesco is preparing a winter overhaul.
As reported by Milanisti Channel, an agreement with AC Milan had been all but finalised before Fenerbahce increased their offer, with Brown opting for Istanbul and the chance to work under Mourinho.
Mourinho was sacked in late August after a 1-0 defeat to Benfica. Tedesco took over in September and is pushing for a significant remake, with Brown not viewed as untouchable.
Fenerbahce are second in the Super Lig, three points behind Galatasaray, and a clear-out could fund January additions. Up to eight departures have been mooted, with Brown described as a surprise candidate to leave.
Despite 25 appearances and over 1,700 minutes this season, his position is considered unstable and the club would listen to suitable offers. He also suffered an injury in the 4-0 win over Konyaspor, coming off in the 53rd minute.
