According to a report from Sky Germany, Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season from Nottingham Forest. The transfer will also include an option to buy, believed to be in the region of €27m.

Kalimuendo looks set to leave the Premier League just six months after arriving at Nottingham in a €30m move from Stade Rennais. The former France U21 international has struggled to adapt to the English top flight and is yet to score in 8 appearances in the Premier League. However, the Frenchman has scored twice in four Europa League appearances. The forward was included in Forest’s squad to face Aston Villa, but is now expected to make the move to Germany.

Kalimuendo to replace Elye Wahi?

Frankfurt are looking to recruit a new striker following the departure of Wahi. The former Marseille forward has returned to Ligue 1 and joined OGC Nice on a season-long loan. Following Wahi’s departure, the 23-year-old will be hoping to hit the ground running in the Bundesliga after a difficult six months with Forest.
