Arrascaeta taken to hospital after right shoulder injury in Flamengo v Estudiantes | OneFootball

Flamengo suffered an early setback when Arrascaeta was taken to a local hospital for scans after injuring his right shoulder during the Libertadores tie against Estudiantes at Estádio Jorge Luis Hirschi. According to Coluna Do Fla, he left the ground to undergo imaging.

The Uruguayan midfielder collided with Piovi in midfield at 16 minutes, fell on his right shoulder and remained on the turf in pain. After treatment, he was replaced by Jorge Carrascal.

Despite his withdrawal, Flamengo struck first. At 36 minutes, a move begun by Samuel Lino ended with Bruno Henrique setting up Luiz Araújo to score in La Plata.

The final assessment now awaits the results of the imaging. Depending on the severity, the No 10 could miss Flamengo’s upcoming matches.
