Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly and new Chelsea signing Estevao Willian are among the nominees for the 2025 edition of the Kopa Trophy.
The former enjoyed a meteoric rise last season, beginning the campaign with the Under-21’s before cementing himself as Arsenal’s first-choice left-back for huge Champions League games against Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Estevao is an emerging talent from Brazil and is set for an opportunity to showcase his talents on the European stage having completed his move to Chelsea earlier in the summer.
New Real Madrid signing Dean Huijsen is also among the 10 players shortlisted for the prestigious individual prize from France Football handed annually to the best performing footballer in the world under the age of 21.
For a second year in a row, Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal is expected to take home the prize following another fine season where he played a key role in delivering a LaLiga and Copa del Rey double.
Yamal’s teammate for club and country, Pau Cubarsi is also vying for this year’s Kopa Trophy, along with Paris Saint-Germain duo Joao Neves and Desire Doue, Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, Porto’s Rodrigo Mora and Ayyoub Bouaddi of Lille.
Elsewhere, Arsenal and Lionesses striker Michelle Agyemang is among the nominees for the 2025 Women’s Kopa Trophy.
Alisson Becker is once again nominated for the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper, with David Raya also on the shortlist along with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Yann Sommer, Matz Sels, Thibaut Courtois, Yassine Bounou, Lucas Chevalier, Emiliano Martinez and Jan Oblak.
