Paris Saint-Germain made a significant move in the January transfer window by securing former Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. This signing is expected to create a ripple effect across the market.

After spending the first half of the 2024-25 season with Napoli, Kvaratskhelia joined PSG this month, signing a contract that will keep him in the French capital until 2029.

Although the transfer fee hasn’t been officially disclosed, reports suggest that French champions PSG have paid €70 million (£59 million), plus add-ons, for Kvaratskhelia.

Napoli now have money to spend, and they have their sight set on a player that’s also on Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Chelsea’s radar.

Who will Napoli pursue to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

The Serie A side are reportedly on the lookout for a replacement for Kvaratskhelia and are interested in bringing in Yeremay Hernández, according to Gianluca Di Marzio (h/t Diario AS). The club sees this move as a potential long-term investment and is expected to activate the €20 million release clause.

Nonetheless, the Italian club aren’t alone in this race. CaughtOffside reported on Saturday, citing sources, that Chelsea have made an opening bid of £8.5 million to Deportivo La Coruna for the 22-year-old.

Furthermore, the report reveals that Arsenal and Aston Villa sent scouts to watch the matches against CD Mirandes and Malaga and were hugely impressed by what they witnessed.
