RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško caught Paris Saint-Germain’s attention last summer as the club searched for a reliable goal scorer to replace Kylian Mbappé.

The Slovenian forward, under contract with Leipzig until 2029 and valued between €70 million and €75 million, had an impressive 2023-24 season, scoring 18 goals and adding two assists in 42 matches.

Despite weighing several striker options, PSG’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, ultimately chose not to sign a new No. 9. Šeško has carried his strong form into the 2024-25 season, tallying 17 goals and five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

RB Leipzig might have to sell Sesko if they miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 season, which is good news for the clubs who have the goal-scorer on their radar.

Following a 2-2 draw against Heidenheim last weekend, the club dropped to sixth in the league table. If they fail to break into the top four, they could be forced to offload Sesko to cover the financial shortfall, according to Sport Bild.
