RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško was on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar during last summer’s transfer window as the club looked for a reliable goal scorer following Kylian Mbappé’s departure.
The Slovenian forward, who is under contract with Leipzig until 2029 and valued between €70 million and €75 million, had a standout 2023-24 season, scoring 18 goals and providing two assists in 42 matches.
Despite considering several striker options, PSG’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos, ultimately decided against signing a new No. 9.
Šeško has continued his strong form into the 2024-25 season, netting 14 goals and recording three assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

With the winter transfer coming and going, the focus now shifts to the summer and what players could be available. Šeško’s name was constantly in the rumor mill last year, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see it again this year.
Arsenal are one club keen on the Slovenian and Charles Watts shared the latest regarding the Gunners’ plans for the goal-scorer and emphasized the challenge that they can face in this transfer race.
“Benjamin Sesko – another long-term target – is far more gettable and there is a relationship already there, with the player and his representatives and with RB Leipzig as well,” Watts wrote in his CaughtOffside column. “But there will be rival interest in the Slovenia international. So it’s not a foregone conclusion that Arsenal will land him if they do firm up their interest once again.”
