Arsenal are expecting to receive an improved offer for FC Porto for defender Jakub Kiwior.
The North Londoners turned down an approach from Porto earlier in the transfer window but the Portuguese side remain keen on a deal.
Kiwior is keen to leave Arsenal in search of regular first-team football, having made just 11 league starts last season. Porto want to pair the Poland international with national teammate Jan Bednarek, who was signed from Southampton earlier this summer.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Porto are preparing an improved package. The imminent offer will be a loan with an obligation to buy, worth around €20m. Should Kiwior depart, Arsenal are targeting Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.
Talks have already been held with the German side, with the Ecuador international viewed as an ideal replacement given his ability to play centre-back and left-back. Hincapie has a release clause of €60m in his contract at the BayArena.
