Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is prioritising a transfer to Arsenal ahead of interest from rival clubs.

Madueke has agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a five-year contact with club-to-club talks having now started.

Arsenal have approached Chelsea to discuss the conditions of a deal, as the Gunners look to make their second signing of the summer from their London rivals. A move for Madueke follows the £5m capture of Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Athletic are reporting that Madueke is focused on Arsenal despite rival interest. Despite Enzo Maresca’s public comments that he is happy with Madueke’s contribution, Chelsea are open to his sale for the right fee.

A fee in the region of £50m has been mooted for the England international, who has scored 11 times and provided five assists in all competitions this season.

Arsenal consider Madueke an option to provide competition on both flanks, having operated on either side for Chelsea last season.

The 23-year-old joined Chelsea for a fee of £28.5m from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023. He spent four years with the Dutch side, having developed in the academy systems of Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.
