Morgan Rogers has reportedly decided he wants to leave Aston Villa this summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United among the clubs on alert.

The England international has shone during his time at Villa Park and is now ready for the next step in his career as he wants to be part of a trophy-winning project.

That’s according to a report from the Sun, which adds that Rogers could cost as much as £100m this summer, though he hopes Villa won’t stand in the way of his potential exit.

Rogers has ten goals and seven assists in all competitions this season, and despite a recent dip in his performances, he seems highly likely to be part of England’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Which clubs need Morgan Rogers the most?

Arsenal certainly look like they’re lacking someone of Rogers’ profile, with the 23-year-old capable or producing moments of magic, particularly in the form of goals form long range, which can add an element of spark and unpredictability to a team’s attack.

With players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard no longer at their best, there’s surely room for Rogers to come in and give Mikel Arteta’s side something a bit different, though it remains to be seen if a price tag as high as £100m is realistically affordable for the Gunners.

Rogers could also surely make an impact at Man United, who may soon need to think about bringing in a long-term replacement for the ageing Bruno Fernandes, whose future is also in some doubt as he only has one year left on his contract.

Morgan Rogers transfer comes with some risk

We recently scored Rogers as a 14/25 signing for Liverpool, and can probably give him a similar Transfer Fit rating for Arsenal and United – click here to find out more about how we score these.

Arsenal and United probably need a player like this more than Liverpool do, but the same issues remain as he’d be very expensive and he’s not really in-form right now with zero goal contributions in his last nine games for Villa…

We’ve gone with 16/25 here, as Rogers ticks a lot of boxes for AFC and MUFC, but if his form doesn’t improve soon then we’ll probably take a star off in the ‘performance’ category.
