The Arsenal wonderkid adds to his fast-growing collection of accolades
Max Dowman has won Arsenal's Emirates goal of the season award for his solo strike against Everton.
Dowman picked up the ball deep in his own half after an Everton corner was cleared. He knocked it past Vitaliy Mykolenko, skipped inside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and then ran clear to finish into the empty net.
That goal came deep in stoppage-time and sealed a crucial victory, moving Arsenal nine points clear of City at the time.
It was one of the most memorable moments of the Emirates era and unsurprisingly that was voted by supporters as the best goal Arsenal scored on home soil this season.
Dowman picked up 38% of the votes, putting him well clear of Martin Zubimendi in second.
The Spaniard's volley against Nottingham Forest in September left him as runner-up to Dowman.
Zubimendi took 17% of the ballot, with Leah Williamson in third with 11% for her header against Leicester.
The goal of the season award is another piece of silverware for Dowman to add to his fast-growing collection.
Dowman has also been nominated for PFA young player of the year, which will be awarded at a ceremony in August.
Nico O'Reilly is favourite to win that, with Rayan Cherki, Junior Kroupi, Kobbie Mainoo and Rio Ngumoha completing the shortlist.
