Arsenal are aiming to build on their exceptional midweek victory when they visit Manchester United in the Premier League.

The Gunners demolished PSV Eindhoven during the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, putting seven past their Dutch opponents to effectively book their place in the quarter-finals. Arsenal will be able to rest players next Wednesday, meaning they can go all-out at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Forward injuries continue to wreak havoc for Mikel Arteta, who has seen his side blank in their last two Premier League matches. Arsenal will need to take their European sharpshooting into the weekend duel with the struggling Red Devils.

Here is how Arsenal could line up on Sunday.

GK: David Raya - Despite their recent Premier League struggles, Arsenal's defence has largely held firm. They boast the sternest rearguard in the division, with Raya playing a key part in their success.

RB: Jurrien Timber - Timber scored on his return to the Netherlands midweek but will have to be defensively switched on against the Noussair Mazraoui and Alejandro Garnacho double-up.

CB: William Saliba - One would expect Saliba to dominate the battle with out-of-sorts Rasmus Hojlund at Old Trafford, with the French defender seldom forced out of second gear.

CB: Gabriel - The Brazilian was dominant against PSV on Tuesday evening and his impressive partnership with Saliba has often proved impenetrable this season.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori - Calafiori could come in for Myles Lewis-Skelly after his iffy and reckless display against PSV. The Italian scored and assisted from the bench during an impressive outing.

CM: Martin Odegaard - Odegaard stepped up to the plate on Tuesday with two fantastic strikes and Arsenal's skipper will be key to unlocking United's porous backline. The Gunners must build on their midweek attacking display.

CM: Thomas Partey - The midfielder will be tasked with shackling Bruno Fernandes, who is arguably the only significant threat to Arsenal's backline.

CM: Declan Rice - Rice will provide the energy in Arsenal's midfield on Sunday, bursting from box to box. With Casemiro likely to be partnering Fernandes, the Gunners could enjoy themselves in central areas.

RW: Ethan Nwaneri - Nwaneri starred again midweek with another astounding display, scoring an excellent goal to double Arsenal's advantage. The precocious 17-year-old is always lively.

ST: Mikel Merino - The 28-year-old has been Arsenal's emergency centre-forward with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus out for the remainder of the campaign, performing the role with varying degrees of success.

LW: Leandro Trossard - Trossard scored the winning goal at Old Trafford last season and will be keen to provide yet another clutch strike for the Gunners on Sunday.
