Arsenal sends official bid for coveted teenager but it is rejected

Arsenal are reportedly showing strong interest in Jeremy Monga this summer, with Sky Sports claiming the club has submitted an opening bid for the 16-year-old, although it has been rejected by Leicester City.

The highly rated teenager is expected to leave Leicester following their relegation to League One, after turning down a contract extension with the club. Despite interest from other teams, Monga is said to favour a move to Arsenal as he considers the next step in his development.

Leicester are understood to be keen to retain control over his future or secure strong compensation, given his status as one of the most promising young players to emerge from their academy system in recent years.
