Arsenal are lining up a blockbuster deal for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, who reportedly wants a move this summer.
The former Manchester City star is expected to cost in excess of £100 million and Arsenal are prepared to make a serious move for him, according to BBC. The Gunners will face competition from both Barcelona and PSG for the Argentina international’s signature.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also targeting Bournemouth forward Eli Kroupi Junior, report the Metro. The 19-year-old netted 13 goals in his debut Premier League campaign. This includes the goal against City that made Arsenal champions, and he admitted receiving many thank you messages.
The Cherries have put an £85 million price tag on the teenager, with Chelsea also amongst those interested in him.
Elsewhere, Manchester United could be at risk of losing their captain and talisman Bruno Fernandes. The Portugal international has a release clause making him available for £57 million this summer, says Fabrizio Romano.
It is understood that United have no intentions of selling Fernandes and have opened contract talks. Now permanent manager, Michael Carrick, has insisted that he expects the midfielder to be at the club next season.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa are lining up a surprise move for Newcastle winger Harvey Barnes, according to the Daily Mail. Unai Emery wants to strengthen his side after winning the Europa League and securing Champions League qualification. The 28-year-old attacker would cost upwards of £30 million.
