Arsenal target Vinicius Junior is ready to lower his financial demands to renew his contract with Real Madrid, per The Athletic.
Vinicius’ contract with the La Liga giants will expire next year, and the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.
His situation has alerted Arsenal. They are interested in bringing the forward to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The Gunners have signed Christos Tzolis, but further attacking reinforcements are needed.
With Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli expected to leave, Arsenal are looking to add an elite forward before the end of the transfer window.
Madrid previously proposed an offer worth around €20 million net per season, which was rejected by Vinicius’ camp.
The Brazilian wants a package close to €30m, comprising a base salary, performance-related bonuses and a separate renewal bonus.
The renewal bonus has been the main sticking point between the two parties.
Vinicius is widely regarded as one of the best forwards in the world, known for his pace, trickery and goal threat.
He was impressive for Brazil during the World Cup, scoring four goals in five matches.
Vinicius has bagged 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 appearances for Madrid across all competitions.
