Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber were not in training today ahead of their Premier League game against Liverpool on Sunday, according to Sky Sports.

Saka missed the games against Bournemouth and Shakhtar Donetsk, and he could be unavailable for selection when Arsenal take on the Premier League leaders at Emirates Stadium.

Timber also missed the last three games due to injury, and it remains to be seen whether he will be available to play against the Reds.

Calafiori was injured during Wednesday’s Champions League game against the Ukrainians. His representatives gave an update on his fitness yesterday.

Arsenal will also be without Martin Odegaard, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope others can step up in the absence of some of his key players.

Saka could still be available for selection as he has been training alone. The Gunners may have decided against involving him with the rest of the team today so as not to risk his fitness.

Arteta will hold his pre-match conference later today, and he will not give much away concerning the fitness of the aforementioned trio to keep his Liverpool counterpart Arne Slot guessing.

Arsenal will be desperate to return to winning ways after the 2-0 loss to Bournemouth last weekend, and they need their top players available.

Failure to win against Liverpool will pile pressure on the players, especially if Manchester City win against Southampton tomorrow. The result could have a huge say on their title aspirations.
