Arsenal turn their attention to the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, travelling to face League One outfit Port Vale in the third round.
The Gunners are in excellent form and will be aiming for another strong cup run after making the semi-finals last season. Mikel Arteta will use the match to rest key players after a tough schedule, giving opportunities to squad members.
Despite the expected rotation, a comfortable and professional victory will be demanded to avoid an upset. Anything less would be considered a major setback against their third-tier hosts.
Mikel Arteta will use the Carabao Cup on Wednesday as an opportunity to rotate his squad. The headline news is that Bukayo Saka is in line for his first start since his injury, having made his comeback as a substitute against Manchester City at the weekend.
A number of fringe players are also set to feature. Kepa Arrizabalaga is confirmed to start in goal and Gabriel Martinelli also expected to play.
Talented youngster Max Dowman may also be involved, but Noni Madueke (knee) and Piero Hincapié (groin) have both been ruled out..
Arsenal predicted XI: Kepa; White, Mosquera, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Norgaard, Nwaneri, Merino; Saka, Martinelli, Trossard.
The Carabao Cup fixture will be played at Vale Park on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football in the UK. Coverage beginning at 7:45 pm BST.
