Arsenal moved five points clear ofManchester City, having played a game more, after thrashing their North London rivals 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Braces from Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres sealed the points and an important win for Arsenal after recent results. A run of two wins in seven Premier League games had seen Arsenal's lead in the title race reduced, with Manchester City narrowing the gap.

That run had included a costly 2-2 draw with struggling Wolves in midweek, a fixture that saw Arsenal squander a two-goal lead and concede a stoppage-time equaliser.

Arsenal bounced back impressively to ease past Spurs this weekend, securing the club's biggest away league win at Tottenham since a 5-0 success at White Hart Lane in 1978.

Arteta expressed his happiness with the result and performance from his side and admitted that he saw desire from his team on the training ground this week.

He outlined how much Arsenal want to win the Premier League this season but predicted the title race will 'go all the way' this season.

"Really happy, really proud about how we approached the game. The initiative and the quality we showed to come here and win the game in the way that we did," he said toBBC Sport.

"That is the beauty of football. When you look back at the game against Wolves, how did we draw that game from there? I was out with them every day and I know how much they want it.

"This is the Premier League, it will go all the way for sure. Ten games in the Premier League is a long way."

Arteta added praise for goalscorer Gyokeres, who has hit form in recent weeks after a slow start to his Arsenal career. The Swedish striker's double made it eight goals across all competitions this calendar year.

"He was outstanding today, I thought," Arteta said.

"There have been glimmers of it every week but today, I thought he was fantastic."
