Arthur Cabral is being lined up for a move from Botafogo to Corinthians before the end of the month. ESPN Brasil reports that only a loan is currently under discussion.

Brazilian clubs can still register players who featured in the state championships until month-end, which keeps a switch feasible. The 27-year-old has slipped down the pecking order since Martin Anselmi took charge, and Corinthians, who have a player on Benfica’s radar, are in the frame.

Benfica retained a 10 percent sell-on when they sold the striker to Botafogo, yet a return looks unlikely under the terms being considered.

Even if a sale materialises, the report suggests Benfica’s take would be modest, with Botafogo unlikely to bank a fee matching or exceeding the 12 million euros they paid.

This is not the first time Cabral’s exit has been explored. During the winter window, Botafogo rejected a 10 million euros offer from Torino, when the forward’s value was higher.
