Sunderland are weighing up Simon Adingra’s future this summer, with the winger looking set to leave on a permanent deal amid growing interest.

Foot Mercato reports that AS Monaco want another loan after declining their option to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the 2025/26 campaign. The clubs have close ties through Juan Sartori, who sits on both boards and has family links to Monaco’s ownership.

Monaco’s stance is complicated by wider interest and Sunderland’s likely preference for a permanent sale. AS Roma and RB Leipzig, both bound for the Champions League, are said to be monitoring developments. Ipswich Town, Hull City and recently relegated West Ham United are also interested.

West Ham have retained Nuno as head coach and are seeking reinforcements after the bumper sale of Mateus Fernandes, with wingers Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville also expected to draw attention during the window.

Adingra contributed in the first half of last season but struggled to secure regular starts under Régis Le Bris. Sunderland must decide whether to cash in now or sanction another loan to build his confidence and value.

He is on holiday following Ivory Coast’s World Cup exit at the last 32 stage.
