  1. Date: 18th October, Saturday.
  2. Kick-off: 8pm BST.
  3. Venue: Stadio Olimpico, Roma.

AS Roma Team News

Roma could have Leon Bailey available for selection after the Jamaican winger recovered from the thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since his arrival from Aston Villa. Bailey has returned to group training but is likely to start on the bench for his potential Roma debut.

Angelino and Wesley have both recovered from their respective issues and are expected to be available. The Spanish wingback missed the Fiorentina match through illness, while Wesley was dealing with an ankle problem.

Paulo Dybala has overcome his recent thigh injury and should be available for selection, providing Gian Piero Gasperini with an additional creative option in attack. Edoardo Bove remains out with heart problems and will not be involved.

Inter Milan Team News

Inter Milan will be without star striker Marcus Thuram for the trip to the capital. The French forward suffered a hamstring injury during the Champions League victory over Slavia Prague and has been ruled out until late October. Thuram is targeting a return for the clash against Napoli on October 25.

In his absence, Cristian Chivu will turn to either Francesco Pio Esposito or Ange-Yoan Bonny to partner Lautaro Martinez in attack. Bonny impressed with a goal and three assists in Inter’s last Serie A outing against Cremonese. Matteo Darmian is also unavailable due to a calf injury.

Form

AS Roma

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side has made an excellent start to the season and sit second in Serie A, alongside leaders Napoli with 15 points from six matches.

The Giallorossi have won five of their opening six league games, with their only defeat coming at home to Torino. Roma’s defensive solidity under Gasperini has been remarkable, conceding just two goals in six Serie A matches while maintaining four clean sheets.

Inter Milan

After a mixed start to the season, Inter have found their rhythm under new manager Cristian Chivu. The Nerazzurri sit fourth in Serie A with 12 points from six matches, three points behind leaders Napoli and Roma.

Inter have won three consecutive league matches, including an impressive 4-1 thrashing of Cremonese at San Siro. Chivu has implemented a more aggressive pressing system, with Inter recovering the ball higher up the pitch and playing more direct football. Lautaro Martinez has been in excellent form with three goals in six appearances this season.

Predicted Lineups

AS Roma: Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka; Tsimikas, Kone, Cristante, Wesley; Pellegrini, Soule; Dovbyk.

Inter Milan: Sommer; Akanji, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Bonny, Martinez.
