Ascona winner helps Moca FC avoid elimination | OneFootball

SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Moca FC earning a 2-1 over Universidad O&M FC in Group A on Wednesday at Estadio Cibao FC in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

Universidad O&M FC opened the scoring in the 31’ when Yohan Parra knocked in a rebound off the goalkeeper.

Moca FC found the equalizer in the 33’ as Isaac Báez leveled it.

The winner for Moca arrived in the 56’ when Junior Jiménez laid off a subtle pass in the box and Gustavo Ascona smashed a rocket into the back of the net.

The victory marked the first of the tournament for Moca FC and helped them avoid elimination.

Universidad O&M FC will play group leaders Mount Pleasant FA in a crucial final Group Stage match next Tuesday.

Moca FC will host SV Robinhood to close out the Group Stage next Tuesday.
