Aston Villa consider move for PSG’s Marco Asensio | OneFootball

There could be quite a few conversations between Aston Villa and Paris Saint-Germain this month. Randal Kolo Muani (26) out of favour at PSG, is a target for the Premier League side, as per L’Équipe. However, he isn’t the only forward that Aston Villa are showing an interest in with the club also considering a move for Marco Asensio (28), according to a report from RMC Sport.

As reported by Le Parisien last month, PSG are open to letting Asensio leave this month. The Spaniard is playing a bit-part role at the Parc des Princes and, all the while, the club are considering recruiting further in the forward areas. A move for Jhon Duran is in the works, as per RMC Sport, who added that the reigning Ligue 1 champions had already made contact with the Aston Villa forward.

Should Asensio wish to leave this January, PSG would not stand in his way, and according to RMC Sport, he is one of the players being followed by Aston Villa with a view to a transfer this January. Whilst a swap deal involving Duran is not actively being discussed currently, it is a hypothesis that could be explored.
