Aston Villa have been linked with Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with the Serie A club understood to want €25 million to €30 million for the Japan international. The Premier League side are monitoring him amid continued noise around Emiliano Martinez and Juventus.
The Daily Record reports that Walsall have agreed a deal to sign St Johnstone midfielder Sven Sprangler, subject to a work visa.
Suzuki joined Parma permanently in July 2024 on a five-year contract after an initial loan, and has since become first choice. He previously came through Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan’s J-League.
Martinez continues to be linked with Juventus, and the 33-year-old is said to have agreed personal terms with the Turin club on a three-year contract running until 2029.
St Johnstone are willing to let the 31-year-old depart, and the move depends on the Saddlers securing the necessary paperwork. Sprangler spent last season on loan at League Two Newport County, where he caught Walsall’s attention.
