Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who recently broke two World Cup records.

The Spurs star had a dream World Cup debut earlier this week in Sweden’s opening win against Tunisia.

Bergvall came off the bench in the 65th minute to help Sweden secure a 5-1 victory, becoming the youngest player in their history to play at a World Cup.

He also became the youngest Swedish player to assist a goal at the quadrennial tournament after his hand in their fifth goal.

The Tottenham midfielder will be looking forward to the remaining group games against the Netherlands and Japan.

Bergvall made 23 Premier League appearances for Spurs last season, weighing in with three assists and one goal. He played in ten games across other competitions, starting 17 times in total.

The Swede started in just one of the seven league games Roberto De Zerbi oversaw last term, coming off the bench in his other four appearances.

It is unknown if the Italian views him as part of his plans, but Villa and Chelsea are monitoring his situation and could make a concrete move in the coming weeks.
