Aston Villa have entered the race to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, according to L’Equipe.
The 26-year-old, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for €95 million in September 2023, has struggled to nail down a regular starting position under manager Luis Enrique.
Featuring 14 times across all competitions this season, most of which have come as a substitute, Kolo Muani has just scored two goals to take his tally to 11 in 54 games for Les Parisiens.
PSG reportedly want €60m for the forward, but a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent in the summer would also be accepted.
Kolo Muani’s versatility across the front line makes him an appealing proposition. Despite limited game time at PSG, he is a regular for the French national team under Didier Deschamps.
Villa have now joined a list of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, who are vying for his signature.
With PSG interested in Jhon Duran, a potential swap deal is not out of the question, although Villa are unlikely to be willing to let go of one of their most prized assets.
Having already been linked with a move for Donyell Malen, Villa are expected to be fairly active in the January transfer window as they look to bolster their squad for the second half of the campaign.
Following a thrilling 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, Villa are currently ninth in the Premier League table midway through the season.
A chance to end a two-game winless run awaits the Villans when they play host to Leicester City on Saturday before facing off against West Ham United in the FA Cup third round six days later.
