Ademola Lookman has remained at Atalanta despite strong transfer rumors this summer. The Nigerian forward, who wanted to join Inter, had even submitted a transfer request and stopped training.

In the end, no agreement was reached and Lookman is still under contract with the Italian club until 2027. However, he has not played a single official match this season. Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi addressed the situation on DAZN:

We know how important Lookman is for Atalanta. But the club has core principles: players must be ready to give 100% for this shirt and remain focused on our goal, because every match is tough.

The future of the Nigerian international therefore remains uncertain, even though Atalanta is still counting on him—provided he shows full commitment.
