Athletic face a breathless start to the league season, cramming three fixtures into eight days. Terzic’s squad, only a week into pre-season, begin at San Mamés against Sevilla before visiting Barcelona and then Vigo.

El Correo reports that La Liga has released the kick-off times for the first three matchdays. Athletic, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Valencia and Betis have had their opening fixtures pushed back 10 days because many players are still at the World Cup in the United States, with up to 14 involved between Athletic and Barcelona.

Athletic will not now start at Camp Nou, as the draw had dictated. Their opener is at San Mamés against Sevilla on Saturday 22 August at 17:00, the day of the txupinazo at Aste Nagusia.

They then travel to Barcelona on Thursday 27 August for a 21:00 kick-off.

Matchday three follows in Vigo on Sunday 30 August at 21:30.
