Athletic have signed forward Léo Chú for the remainder of 2026, the club announced. The 25-year-old returns to Brazil.
He follows Belezi, Diogo Batista and Gustavinho as additions for this year’s campaign.

A Grêmio academy product, Chú won the Campeonato Gaúcho and Recopa Gaúcha in 2021.
He then joined Ceará on loan, lifting the Copa do Nordeste.
After Brazil, he moved to the United States and played for two clubs. He spent three seasons with Seattle Sounders, winning the Concacaf Champions League in 2022, a triumph that earned the team a place at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Chú later transferred to FC Dallas and was most recently with Alverca in Portugal.
