Summer transfer talk around Wolves, West Brom and Villa is intensifying, with Atletico Madrid pursuing Joao Gomes, Liverpool assessing Emi Martinez and interest growing in several Wolves players.
Sport.ua reports that Shakhtar have opened negotiations to sign Wolves full-back Pedro Lima, who joined for £8.5m in 2024, and are said to be closing on an agreement.
Talks over a potential £38m move for Gomes to Atletico were said to be advancing earlier this week. He is understood to prefer Madrid and is claimed to have rejected Leeds United, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Atalanta and Galatasaray despite richer offers. Atletico, Champions League semi-finalists, reportedly view him as a replacement for Conor Gallagher, who left for Tottenham in January.
Wolves are said to have allowed Jackson Tchatchoua to explore an exit after a difficult season. Bologna are credited with leading the race, with Real Betis, Villarreal, Rennes and Marseille also linked.
West Brom have again been linked with Southampton striker Ben Brereton-Diaz. The Chile forward scored four in 17 on loan at Derby County last year and, with two years left on his deal, would command a fee.
Aston Villa remain interested in Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, with City not planning to sell unless they recoup the £59m they paid. Interest is said to have persisted since January.
Fresh claims suggest Liverpool are exploring a move for Martinez, with internal discussions said to be gathering pace. Alisson is reportedly poised to leave, with Juventus named as front-runners.
