La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have on Monday been afforded a timely string of boosts on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation of three members of Diego Simeone’s squad returning to group training.
Atlético are of course currently in the thick of preparations for a return to action on the continent this week.
After being put to the sword by Barcelona in a La Liga fixture over the weekend, the Rojiblancos will now be tasked with besting Hansi Flick’s Spanish champions in a Champions League quarter-final showdown.
And as alluded to above, early this week, Atléti’s chances have been boosted, courtesy of developments in the treatment room in Madrid.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Jan Oblak, Marc Pubill and Rodrigo Mendoza are back in team training for Atléti ahead of Barcelona game on Wednesday.’
It now remains to be seen if any of this trio is considered well enough to feature from the off at the Spotify Camp Nou.
