Atlético Mineiro have reversed their decision and will admit supporters for Friday 13 February’s Brasileiro Feminino opener against Corinthians at Arena MRV, kick-off 21:00.

The fixture had been slated for behind closed doors because of operational and security logistics during Carnival. The club said in a statement that, following an operational review and stressing its commitment to the women’s game, the match will now be played with fans.

Corinthians head to Belo Horizonte after back-to-back runners-up finishes this season. In London, the Brabas finished second at the Copa das Campeãs, Fifa’s Club World Cup, against Arsenal. On Sunday they lost on penalties to Palmeiras in the Supercopa do Brasil.

Corinthians’ women have won the past six editions of the national league, seven titles in total.
