Japanese forward Ayase Ueda is making waves across Europe, and this weekend he proved why he’s currently the continent’s most lethal striker.

The Feyenoord attacker netted an astonishing four goals in his side’s 6-1 thrashing of PEC Zwolle, helping the Dutch side secure consecutive wins and cementing his place at the summit of Europe’s goal-scoring leaderboard.

Ueda’s form this season has been nothing short of sensational. He has now scored 18 times in 15 Eredivisie matches, leaving him well ahead of his nearest rivals.

Feyenoord remain six points behind league leaders PSV, and it’s clear that if they are to mount a serious title challenge, they will need Ueda to continue delivering at this extraordinary rate.

Across the continent, Europe’s elite forwards were also busy. Harry Kane is keeping close in pursuit, bagging a hat-trick for Bayern Munich to reach 17 goals in 13 appearances. Kylian Mbappé has netted 16 times in 16 games for Real Madrid, while Erling Haaland maintains his steady scoring for Manchester City with 15 goals in as many outings, despite a quieter week.
