With the World Cup centre stage and the window open since June 15, Premier League clubs are eyeing tournament standouts. According to NY Times, writers have identified one World Cup option for every club competing this summer in North America.

For Arsenal, Crysencio Summerville has two goals and an assist in his first two games for the Netherlands. The 24-year-old is direct, two-footed and diligent, traits that would appeal to Mikel Arteta after his West Ham form. He started wide right for his country, though played mainly left for West Ham last term.

Tottenham need extra punch up front and Bradley Barcola fits the brief. The 23-year-old scored off the bench in France’s opener against Senegal, and he did not start for Paris Saint-Germain beyond the Champions League round of 16 last season. A move could be complicated and expensive, but it would be a statement and give him a regular platform.

Liverpool’s midfield refresh could feature Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Lille teenager, 18, already has 96 senior appearances and, at six ft one in, offers ball-winning and the build-up quality to start attacks. Plenty of interest would not surprise, particularly if Morocco go deep.

Leeds’ search for a left-footed creator from the right makes Takefusa Kubo an enticing fit. Nursing an injury at the World Cup, the Real Sociedad winger blends industry with flair after earlier spells at Barcelona’s academy and Real Madrid. He joined Real Sociedad in 2022, his rise culminating in a Copa del Rey triumph last term. He may not carry an attack, but his guile and work rate seem a realistic Premier League addition.
