Barça announce signing of Manchester City forward | OneFootball

Barcelona have signed Brazilian forward Kerolin Nicoli on a four-year deal from Manchester City.

The 26-year-old forward is lauded by Barça as “capable of making the difference in the last few metres thanks to her strengths in one-on-one situations, her speed and her eye for goal.”

Predominantly a winger, Kerolin is able to play across the front line and has cemented herself in recent years as a key player for both club and country, lifting silverware most recently with Manchester City as they won their first Barclays Women’s Super League title in a decade and lifted the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Prior to her stint in Manchester, Kerolin plied her trade in the NWSL for North Carolina Courage and was voted as the league’s Most Valuable Player in 2023.

The Brazilian forward landed at Barcelona’s El Prat Airport on Tuesday morning prior to her official unveiling, and told media awaiting her arrival that she is “very happy to be here.

“I’m just thinking that dreams come true,” she explained, adding that “I come here to be one more [player] to help Barcelona to be at the highest level. I can’t wait to start, to be fair.”

Donning a new hairstyle featuring a heart in the famous blaugrana colours, the 26-year-old revealed: “I thought I’d just do it and also show myself to Barcelona fans.”
