Harry Kane is apparently not thinking about leaving at the moment. Instead, talks about a longer future in Munich could start soon.

The England international striker’s future is said to remain at the Isar. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kane is „fully focused on Bayern and very happy at the club“. The transfer insider says that talks with FC Bayern must first take place before other clubs can even be discussed. Only once these have been concluded can other options such as Barcelona be considered. Kane himself does not want to be distracted by speculation and is clearly focusing on his current role.

Sky also recently reported that FC Bayern are looking to extend his contract, which runs until 2027, ahead of schedule. According to the report, initial talks with the 32-year-old could begin soon. An extension until 2028 would be a strong signal for the club.

Since his move from Tottenham, Kane has developed into an absolute leading figure in attack. In addition to his goalscoring threat, he impresses with his vision, intelligence and team-oriented style of play. In terms of character, he is also regarded as a central figure within the team.

Release clause as a potential risk factor

An important reason for the early negotiations is the release clause anchored in his contract. It allows Kane to move for €65 million until 31 January 2026. The record champions want to prevent this option from even coming up for discussion – even if, according to Sky, there is currently nothing to suggest a departure.

Reporter Florian Plettenberg explained: „I am convinced that even if a club wanted to pull the clause, Kane would not say yes. I currently see no indications that Kane will leave the club.“

According to the report, Kane is open to new talks. An extension until 2028 is considered a realistic option internally. FC Bayern see the striker as a key building block for the future – not least because of his style of play, which is based not on pace but on understanding the game.
