Sunday night was a special occasion for FC Barcelona as they won the La Liga title, doing so by beating their bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou in a memorable fashion.
Needing only one point from the game to secure the title, the Blaugrana beat Alvaro Arbeloa & co. 2-0 thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres, to lift the fifth trophy of the Hansi Flick era.
Not only on the pitch, but Barcelona also enjoyed a successful night off the field as well.
Indeed, according to AS, the Catalans also set a new revenue record for a Clasico: €16.4 million.
The final figure has not yet been completely confirmed, although any last-minute adjustment is expected to increase the total rather than reduce it.
Speaking before the match, Barcelona CEO Manel del Rio had said: “It’s important to understand that 80% of the total capacity was for season ticket holders or members with individual tickets.
“But with that percentage and seeing the demand, we’ve achieved a record revenue compared to last year: €13.8 million. We’ll be above €16 million.”

“This is important news for the project. We’re shifting the business towards the VIP product, but members will have priority,” he added.
Club executives are now analysing the figures in detail because they want to highlight the significance of what has been achieved, especially given that the Spotify Camp Nou is still not operating at full capacity.
There was less supply available, but soaring demand pushed ticket prices higher.
In the coming days, it will be interesting to learn the final average ticket price as well as the total income generated from VIP packages, which remain the club’s major strategic focus for maximising stadium revenue.
The Spotify Camp Nou recorded its highest attendance of the season yesterday, with 62,213 spectators inside the ground.
Barcelona returned to their stadium on 22 November, and once all redevelopment works are completed, the venue will hold close to 105,000 fans.
