Barcelona have beaten out stiff competition to close a deal for one of the most highly sought-after young talents in Spanish football.

The player primed to take his talents to La Masia this summer comes in the form of Enzo Pérez.

Pérez is a 14-year-old midfielder, who previously spent time plying his trade on Barcelona’s books earlier in his fledgling career.

The starlet had since gone on to join Girona, whom he led to league glory this past season at U14 level.

Along the way, Pérez turned heads across not only Spain, but all of Europe, with his ability to control proceedings from the middle of the park.

All of Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Manchester City are understood to have held talks with the youngster’s entourage over recent months, regarding a summer transfer.

As alluded to above, though, Pérez has instead opted for a Blaugrana reunion.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘The Girona midfielder had caught the attention of the big clubs in Europe but has decided to return to Barça, the club that is close to his heart.’
