Barcelona believe youngster can be their ‘midfield star for the next 10 years’ | OneFootball

An insight into the widespread belief in the talents of Barcelona youngster Marc Bernal behind the scenes at the club has on Wednesday been forthcoming online.

Midfielder Bernal is for his part of course currently in the final stages of recovery from a long-term spell on the sidelines.

The Spaniard has spent the last 12 months out of action, owing to a devastating ACL injury suffered back in August of 2024.

Prior to as much, though, Bernal had begun making waves in Catalunya’s capital.

At just 17 years of age, the starlet had carved out a starting berth for himself at the base of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona midfield.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the significance of as much has evidently not been at all forgotten on the part of those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.

As per a report from Diario Sport, in fact:

‘It is true that he arrives from a major injury, but internally they have no doubt that Bernal can be the midfielder of the first team for the next ten years. The commitment to him is total.’
