Neymar’s career hasn’t quite reached the heights expected of him when he first burst onto the scene at Barcelona back in 2013. Whilst the Brazilian has been successful, many fans expected more.
Many Barcelona fans would love to see the 32-year-old back in their club’s colours, and a potential move might not be as much of a foreign concept as we thought.
As per Cadena SER, Barcelona’s sporting director Deco spoke out about the possibility of Neymar making a return to Camp Nou in the future.
“He is welcome at any club in the world, a move can never be ruled out.“, Deco said, despite also acknowledging that there would be plenty of financial difficulties in making a move happen.
“At his best, Neymar is one of the best players in the world. He still is and always will be.“, said the Barça chief, before also stating that he is likely closer to a return to his native Brazil than a return to La Liga.
As per reports from Brazil, Neymar is very close to making a return to his boyhood club Santos, where he could return on a short-term loan before possibly making the move permanent.
Regardless of where Neymar ends up for the rest of his career, nobody can deny the impact the Brazilian has made on the footballing landscape, both through his actions on the pitch as well as his big money transfers.
