Over the weekend, reports emerged claiming that La Liga was planning to move the match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, scheduled to be played in December, to the USA.
Miami, in fact, was pointed out as a possible location to hold the league match between the two Spanish giants just before the Christmas break.
Now, according to journalist Laia Tudel on Tot Costa, the chances of the match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid being played in Miami are increasing.
Indeed, only some finer details are missing at this point and if La Liga manages to close the deal, Barça would agree to play the game on US soil.
In fact, should the match go ahead in Miami, the report states that the current La Liga leaders could pocket as much as €6 million in compensation.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has been pushing to host a league game outside of Spain for a number of years now, but his idea had been met with resistance in the past.
However, there appears to be a good chance that Barcelona’s game against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for December 22 (Matchday 18), could now move to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
For his part, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo recently admitted that they would not object to the move if it helps Spanish football grow.
“We know nothing about the match. If it is for the good of Spanish football, we are delighted to collaborate,” Cerezo said earlier this week, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
Nothing is closed as of yet though, but it could prove to be a fruitful venture for Barcelona who are still recovering from a difficult financial situation.
