One of the most notable changes in the FC Barcelona team for this new season has been the reduced role of Robert Lewandowski in the team, as Ferran Torres has been playing a very high number of minutes as the Blaugranes’ center-forward this season.

This situation has led to increased speculation about the future of this position for the Catalan team, and there are several forwards being linked with Barcelona for this role.

One notable player linked with Barcelona for this position is Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy. He finished last season as joint top scorer in the UEFA Champions League alongside Raphinha, netting 13 goals. Additionally, he scored 21 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances and added four more in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The German outlet Bild recently reported that Hansi Flick had personally asked Deco to make an approach for the Dortmund forward, but his €100 million price tag could have been prohibitive for the Blaugranes.

In this regard, a report from Diario AS claims that Guirassy’s agents have an agreement with Dortmund that his price tag would be lowered to €65 million if a big European club came calling for him.

While this amount is still high, this is still significantly lower than the €100 million the Bundesliga side would have asked for. However, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona will be willing to invest such a big sum on a player who is already 29 years of age.
