Barcelona could welcome 2 key players back for Elche | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona could welcome both Robert Lewandowski and Joan García back into the matchday fold for the club’s next outing.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel, who has on Monday provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Both striker Lewandowski and goalkeeper Joan were of course forced to sit out once more on Sunday, as Barcelona were condemned to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

This comes owing to respective hamstring and knee injuries.

The former was since spotted back in group training at the Ciutat Esportiva on Monday, giving rise to mounting hope of an imminent return to the pitch.

And shot-stopper Joan, it would appear, is not far behind Lewandowski on the fitness front.

As per a report from journalist Alex Pintanel, ‘Lewa’ is aiming to be back in time to face Elche this weekend, whilst Joan is hopeful of featuring against either the Franjiverdes, or Club Brugge three days later.
