Barcelona crowned champions, Getafe into Europe, Girona relegated in 2025-26 La Liga | OneFootball

Barcelona sealed a 29th La Liga title as the 2025-26 season concluded on Sunday.

According to L'Équipe, Barcelona clinched the crown with a 2-0 Clasico win over Real Madrid. Madrid finished second, 12 points back, and endured a second successive trophyless season.

Villarreal's 5-1 demolition of Atlético Madrid brought matchday 38 to a close and confirmed the final standings.

Villarreal, Atlético and Real Betis also advanced to the league phase of the Champions League, a first in 21 years for Betis.

Celta Vigo will play in the Europa League with Real Sociedad, who were only 10th but qualified via their Copa del Rey win. Getafe take a spot in the Europa Conference League.

At the bottom, Girona were relegated a year after appearing in the Champions League. Mallorca and Oviedo also go down, with Oviedo bottom after a single season in La Liga.
