Barcelona will be looking to maintain their winning momentum as they take on Sevilla at Montjuic this evening.

Sealing three points against Los Nervionenses could prove to be crucial as Barcelona look to maintain their lead at the top of the table, especially ahead of the all-important El Clasico next weekend.

Real Madrid have had the upper hand in Clasicos in the recent past. The onus, therefore, will be Barça to turn the tide.

Kounde looking to take revenge

Jules Kounde is likely to be one of Real Madrid’s most important players in defence, as they take on Los Blancos next weekend.

The Frenchman will be dealt with the responsibility of keeping tabs on none other than Vinicius Junior, who is widely expected to lift the Ballon d’Or title next week.

Kounde, though, will also be keeping an eye on his best friend and compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni.

In a recent interaction with Telefoot, Kounde admitted that he is keen on exacting revenge on his national teammate Tchouameni heading into this Clasico.

“Facing Tchouameni in El Clasico? This year, I have revenge to take,” Kounde said during the interview.

As mentioned earlier, Kounde is a close friend of Tchouameni and shares a close bond with the Real Madrid midfielder, who is also likely to play a crucial role in this Clasico.

In earlier clashes, Tchouameni has had the upper hand over Kounde, with both players taking part in the last two encounters, which ended in a positive result for Los Blancos.

But with renewed hope and momentum under new coach Hansi Flick, it will be interesting to see whether Kounde and his team can turn the tide against their eternal rivals next week.
