Barcelona fans kickstart fresh Ballon d’Or campaign after PSG’s defeat to Chelsea | OneFootball

Droves of Barcelona supporters have over the last 24 hours moved to kick back into gear their push to see Lamine Yamal crowned the next Ballon d’Or winner.

This comes owing to developments in the Club World Cup final.

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain of course locked horns in the CWC showpiece on Sunday night, with the former having ultimately emerged dominant 3-0 victors.

As much has dealt a potential blow to the Ballon d’Or hopes of PSG standout Ousmane Dembélé, who was considered something of a shoo-in for the prize, if the French champions had triumphed over Chelsea.

With the race now back open, though, those of a Barcelona persuasion have not been long in pushing the name of Lamine back to the forefront of the discussion.

Across social media and beyond, the Blaugrana faithful are now again calling for their side’s prodigious young winger to beat out the competition to the 2025 Golden Ball.
