A new report from Mundo Deportivo has added fresh momentum to the conversation surrounding Barcelona’s plans for next summer, with the club increasingly attentive to the situation of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.
The English forward has emerged as one of the strongest candidates to succeed Robert Lewandowski, and the financial details of his contract have only strengthened that possibility.
According to the report, Barcelona view the €65 million release clause in Kane’s deal as a reasonable figure in the current football market, especially given the impact of ongoing inflation on transfer fees.
Barcelona’s sporting priority heading into the 2026 summer transfer window is to secure a reliable, world-class goalscorer who can immediately lead the line.
Kane’s name has gained significant traction within the club’s offices in recent weeks, and the reasons are obvious.
His consistency in front of goal, his tactical intelligence, and his ability to influence play outside the penalty area make him one of the most complete strikers in world football.

The Englishman has been unstoppable this season, scoring 23 goals in 17 games, while his all-time statistics highlight a career defined by excellence – 404 goals at club level, including 280 goals for Tottenham, 108 goals for Bayern, and 78 goals for England.
Beyond finishing, he brings creativity and vision, demonstrated by his 127 career assists across club and international competitions.
What makes the operation even more tempting is the belief within the club’s financial department that the release clause makes the transfer feasible.
With his contract running until 2027, Kane would be available for €65 million next summer, a figure Barça consider realistic in today’s inflated market.
However, no definitive decisions have been made. Barcelona plan to evaluate their options more seriously from January onward, once the sporting department outlines its priorities.
What is clear is that the club feels prepared to secure a top-level striker if the coaching staff gives the green light.
