Barcelona Femení crush Real Madrid again to set up Bayern semi-final | OneFootball

Barcelona Femení thrashed Real Madrid 6-0 in front of a sell-out Camp Nou to book a UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final with Bayern. It was their third El Clásico win in nine days.

The rout followed last week’s 6-2 in Madrid, completing a 15-goal haul across the trio of meetings. Pere Romeu’s side are into an eighth successive semi-final, the three-time winners again cruising through.

The only previous knockout tie between the clubs came in 2018/19, when Barcelona began this semi-final streak by beating the Frauen-Bundesliga side 2-0 on aggregate. Barcelona have reached the final in each of the last five seasons.

They also met in this season’s opening league-phase round, Barcelona winning 7-1 at Johan Cruyff Stadium. That remains Bayern’s only defeat in any competition this term.

Elsewhere, Wolfsburg face OL Lyonnes shortly for the final semi-final berth after winning the first leg 1-0 at home through Lineth Beerensteyn. The winners will go head to head with defending champions Arsenal.
